From the mouth to Hwy 536 at Mt. Vernon (Memorial Hwy. Bridge)
The mouth is defined by a line projected from the terminus (end) of the jetty with McGlinn Island to the white monument on the east end of Ika Island, then to the white monument on the east end of Craft Island, then to the white monument near the corned of the levee on the west side of Dry Slough, and then to the white monument on the east side of Tom Moore Slough.

NOTE: Currently this does accurately include the entire estuary at the mouth of the Skagit.
CLOSED WATERS - June 28-June 29, July 6-July 7, and July 11.
A portion of the Skagit River to close four days to all fishing
Action: Close a portion of the Skagit River to all fishing.
Effective dates: June 28, 29 and July 2, 3, 2018.
Species affected: All species.
Location: Skagit River (Skagit Co.) from the mouth to the Highway 530 Bridge in Rockport.
Reason for action: The Skagit River will close to all recreational fishing to avoid gear conflicts with treaty fisheries scheduled on those dates.
Additional information: Additional closures are anticipated. The department will announce the area closures through emergency rule changes, which can be found online at https://fortress.wa.gov/dfw/erules/efishrules/.
