Daily limit 2 hatchery STEELHEAD.
Jan 01 thru Mar 31
SALMON & STEELHEAD
Min. size 12" Up to 2 hatchery steelhead may be retained. Release all sockeye. Fishing at night is permitted in Washington waters. Release all adult chinook June 16 through June 21.
Jun 16 thru Jun 30
SALMON AND STEELHEAD
Anti-snagging rule. When anti-snagging rule is in effect, only fish hooked inside the mouth may be retained.
Aug 01 thru Oct 15
SALMON & STEELHEAD
Min. size 12". Daily limit 6. Up to 2 may be adult SALMON or 1 adult SALMON and 1 hatchery STEELHEAD. Release all SALMON other than CHINOOK and COHO. Sept. 1-Sept. 30: from Dalles Dam to John Day Dam and Sept. 1-Oct. 31: from John Day to McNary Dam release all STEELHEAD.

STURGEON Jan. 1 opens to retention, and closes when annual quotas are met (refer to the WDFW website wdfw.wa.gov). Min. size 43" fork length. Max. size 54" fork length. Daily limit 1. Catch-and-release allowed when closed to retention. STURGEON May 1-July 31: CLOSED to fishing for STURGEON from John Day Dam downstream 2.4 miles to the west end of the grain silo at Rufus, Oregon. May 1-July 31: CLOSED to fishing for STURGEON from McNary Dam downstream 1.5 miles to Hwy. 82 (Hwy. 395) Bridge

Columbia River sockeye and summer chinook fisheries

Action: Open sockeye fishery from Bonneville Dam to HWY 395 Bridge at Pasco
Effective date: Effective July 1 through July 31, 2018
Species affected: Sockeye
Location: Bonneville Dam to HWY 395 Bridge at Pasco
Additional information: Daily limit 6, up to 2 adult salmon or hatchery steelhead or 1 of each may be retained. Release all salmon other than hatchery chinook, sockeye. Salmon minimum size is 12 inches.
Reason for action: This action provides recreational angling opportunity based a runsize upgrade of sockeye passage at Bonneville Dam. Summer chinook is tracking below the pre-season forecast, and as a result much of the allocation sharing will likely shift upstream to above Priest Rapids Dam, thus retention below Bonneville Dam is closed
